Post-Shoot: þórsmörk
þórsmörk (Thors Murk) - the land between the glaciers.
The sun goes down here about 3am - but it's still light enough to walk along the rivers and paths leading from the camp. It's an amazing, severe environment - but it felt safe, open, available for imagination.
But to reach þórsmörk you must ford it's winding rivers and shifting banks. Only large busses and rough-road jeeps can make it.
We stayed two nights - arriving late the first night after closing the shoot in Reykjavik. We climbed one of the rough mountains that afternoon and barbequed that night. The last morning dawned bright and warm - and we swam *briefly* in the glacial river just beyond the camp.
